Location: MSB 2172, 1 King's College Circle or by Zoom

About Dr. Boutzen:

Dr. Helena Boutzen holds a PharmD from Toulouse school of pharmacy and a PhD from University of Toulouse, France. She is currently a scientific associate in John Dick laboratory. She completed her residency in Toulouse hospital, France, while doing her PhD in Dr JE Sarry and Pr C Récher’s laboratory where she identified drug vulnerabilities for Acute Myeloid Leukemia patients with IDH mutation. She then joined John Dick’s laboratory, a prominent figure in the stem cell field, as a post-doctoral researcher, before being promoted to a scientific associate position in his lab. For over a decade, she has been studying deregulation of stem cells to uncover specific drug vulnerabilities, especially for treating patients with Acute Myeloid Leukemias. One of her key achievements has been the development of stem cell tools used internationally by academic laboratories and licensed with 2 of the largest pharmaceutical companies.
