Dr. Benjamin Goldstein awarded RBC Investments Chair in Children’s Mental Health & Development Psychopathology

It is with great pleasure that we applaud the appointment of Dr. Benjamin Goldstein to the RBC Investments Chair in Children’s Mental Health and Development Psychopathology, effective September 1st, 2020.
Dr. Goldstein is a child and adolescent psychiatrist and Professor of Psychiatry and Pharmacology at the University of Toronto, as well as Adjunct Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Goldstein’s efforts focus on youth with, or at familial risk for, bipolar disorder.
His multidisciplinary team seeks to generate insights regarding the link between bipolar disorder and cardiovascular disorders, and to identify and implement innovative prevention and treatment strategies that focus simultaneously on physical and mental health.
Dr. Goldstein has authored over 200 scientific articles, and has received national and international awards for his research. His research is currently funded by grants from Brain Canada, CIHR, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the U.S. National Institute of Mental Health, and the University of Toronto Department of Psychiatry.
An active educator, Dr. Goldstein serves as Director of the Clinician Scientist Program in the University of Toronto’s Department of Psychiatry, and supervises many PharmTox trainees at the MSc and PhD levels.
