Senior Lecturer - Not taking graduate students

My research focus is drug-induced toxicity, particularly that involving drug metabolizing enzymes and/or drug transporters. I am interested in the ontogeny, expression, and function of P-glycoprotein and other drug transporters and their involvement in drug-drug interactions. I also study the mechanisms of bioactivation and detoxification of potentially nephrotoxic species. My clinical research interests include drug-induced renal toxicity and the safety of drugs in pregnancy.
Please note: My current administrative duties prevent me from doing any active research. Therefore, I am not accepting any graduate or summer students.
